The Kingdom of Heaven

Hello Everyone,

Today we are talking about the kingdom of heaven.

Our text is from the Matthew 7:21 and in this Scripture Jesus says,

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:21‬ ‭(ESV‬‬)

This was Jesus speaking and he was pointing out that we all need to do to enter that kingdom. Now, there are basically two Kingdoms. The kingdom of heaven, which is the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness which is the kingdom ruled by Satan.

The will of God is done in Heaven and God wants his will to be done here on earth too.
When Jesus taught the disciples to pray, one of the prayer points is that the will of God should be done on earth sit is in heaven. That is how the kingdom of heaven has come here on earth.

Now, in our text recorded in the gospel of Matthew 7:21 Jesus is saying that we should do more than saying things. Doing is much better than saying things. Not all those who sayLord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven. It takes the act of the will.

There should not be a disconnect between what we say and what we do. We should do the will of God. What matters is the will of God. God accepts approves those who do his will. The will of God is more precious to Jesus than anything here on earth.

Let it be our prayer that the will of God should be done here on earth as it is in heaven. By his will we enter the kingdom in which he rules in righteousness.

The will of God is what matters.

God bless you all. Bye for now.
